Smita Behera

Based in Mumbai, Smita Behera is a homemaker who followed her desires to pursue her passion in wildlife and birding photography. She is married to Ashok Behera who is also a wildlife photographer. She likes to capture photographs which develops a distinctive connection with the viewer, she believes a picture is worth a thousand words! According to Smita, photography is like a canvas painting which helps in unleashing one’s imagination. A photograph stands out because of its exposure, composition, detail and message that it delivers to the viewers. Her life goal is to travel around the world to capture photographs that connects with the people and one day to write a book on wildlife photography.

Both husband and wife have won many laurels and awards both in national and international competition and their works has been displayed in the iconic Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai.
